Alzheimer's/Dementia Program
Our Alzheimer's/Dementia Program was developed in 2000 to assist families in caring for their loved ones afflicted with the disease. This grant-funded program allows for a registered nurse and occupational therapist to meet with the caregiver and client in their own home to provide support through education regarding the disease process, behavior management, community resourses, support groups, safety issues, stress and relaxation techniques. As caregivers gain knowledge, they become empowered to care for their loved ones. Coupled with our IDEAS program through Coastline Elderly Services and The National Family Caregivers Association, we are also able to provide home health aide services for respite care to families.
