Friendly Visitor Progam The Friends of the Marion Visiting Nurses, concerned about the health of isolated seniors in their community, provided funding to Community Nurse & Hospice Care to work with three area Councils on Aging to develop a Friendly Visitor Program. This outreach program will provide for friendly visits to seniors in the towns of Rochester, Marion, and Mattapoisett who are socially isolated and can benefit from social interaction. For more information about the Tri-Town Friendly Visitor Program or to volunteer your services one hour each week, contact the following Council on Aging Centers:

Mattapoisett: 508-758-4110 Rochester: 508-763-8723 The towns of Dartmouth and Fairhaven also have a Friendly Visitor Program. Community Nurse & Hospice Care provided training to volunteers in both towns so that the need for friendly visits to seniors who are socially isolated would be met.
