Looking into private care for my dad and deciding on Community Nurse &Hospice Care was the best decision for our whole family. Before we had private care services, we were talking about nursing home placement for him and I was pretty stressed working full-time and taking care of two households. That was a year ago. Today he is at home, living independently and has a great relationship with his nurse’s aide.

I want to thank Community Nurse for the kind and wonderful care you have given me during my illness. My aide is extremely compassionate and caring. She’s professional and attentive to both me and my family.

I can’t say enough about the hospice team at Community Nurse!! Never have I seen such kindness and care given to a loved one in their last weeks of life.

You were there with us on the good days and the bad with the most personal touch. We were so fortunate to have you help me get well. And I now know how fortunate our community is to have Community Nurse available when we need it most.

The diagnosis was scary. We were uncertain what it meant or where to go from there. We were inundated with information. We felt rushed out of the hospital. We felt alone. We felt afraid. Then Community Nurse & Hospice Care stepped in and we got comfort, care and guidance. It was like having a knowledgeable, supportive family – without the drama. Everyone at Community Nurse & Hospice Care from our nurse to the person who answers the phone were incredible. You have no idea how important home care and hospice is until it’s you and your family who needs it.

Thank so much for everything: Loyalty, Reliability, Respect, Dignity, Skill & Knowledge, Caring, Listening, Heavy lifting, Sharing meals, Watching TV together, Showers, Haircuts, Driving to favorite places, Guy talk, etc. etc. etc.  As hard as it was, you gave him the love and the respect he needed and made him feel as much a man as possible.

Although I am 94 years of age, I have been encouraged to do more things for myself which has helped my health situation and lifted my spirits. Because of my prompt and courteous nurse, I now exercise for half an hour every morning which has enabled me to have the strength to do things I haven’t been able to do for a long time.

I am trying to write a few lines to let you know how much I appreciate all the help I got from Community Nurse. In six weeks, you helped bring me back to normal times. With the help of my beloved nurse, physical therapist and home health aides after a lung infection, laying down all the time and being weak all the time, I can now get out to my Dollar Tree Stores and do my things. Just getting out of my chair was a miracle! My nurse had the patience of a saint. I am semi-blind and it is difficult for me to write but I want to thank Community Nurse from the bottom of my heart, so I hope you can understand my writing.

My family and I would like to express our thanks for the care and compassion shown to our mother. The follow-up calls at the onset, calls in between, taking calls to answer my questions and up to assisting us just prior to Mon’s passing – the words thank you just minimize what you all did for us. My family and I just don’t have enough words to express our gratitude.

On Sunday, I had the pleasure of meeting with my father’s nurse at my parents’ home. She spent a great deal of time with my father and was both kind and thorough. She had good recommendations and understood needs my father had both medically and involving his living situation. She made our understanding of my father’s situation very clear. Thank you!
