Occupational Therapy

Our team of Occupational Therapists assist patients in adjusting to their physical environments after a surgery or illness. Occupational Therapists adapt tasks and modify the environment to make patients' ability to function at home easier. Occupational therapy services include, but are not limited to:

  • Education & independence training
  • Upper body/hand strength and coordination
  • Monitor after splint/orthotic fabriction
  • Functional adaptation of wheelchair in the home environment
  • Upper and lower body self care activities
  • UE strengthening and coordination training
  • Prescription recommendations for adaptive equipment (commodes, tubseat, etc.)
  • Energy conservation training
  • Cognitive/perceptual training
