Founded in 1916, Community Nurse began with a single Nurse who travelled by bicycle to provide care to neighbours in need. Over a century later, Community Nurse has grown into a 5-Star team of approximately 150 dedicated professionals, including nurses, therapists, home health aides, social workers, administrative staff, and a large group of committed volunteers.
About Us

Over a century later, Community Nurse has grown into a 5-Star team of approximately 150 dedicated professionals, including nurses, therapists, home health aides, social workers, administrative staff, and a large group of committed volunteers.
As an independent, not-for-profit home health care and hospice agency, Community Nurse is dedicated to delivering a continuum of quality home health care services to 21 communities of south eastern Massachusetts. Our licensed professional clinicians are highly skilled and compassionate caregivers who create and manage comprehensive recovery plans, ensuring that patients can remain in the comfort of their own homes.
